It was with great pleasure that I joined my colleague, Member for Southern Metropolitan Region Ryan Batchelor MP, at Hampton East School this week to officially open the new school buildings.

Hampton East School is the result of a merger between Katandra School and Berendale School, offering special education from Prep to Year 12. The merger has meant a more seamless transition from junior school to senior school.

The new buildings include art and science spaces, a junior hub and a middle years hub.

The Victorian Government is investing record funding in our schools to make Victoria the Education State. In the past 10 years, the Victorian Government has invested $16.9 billion in building new schools and more than 2,200 school upgrades.
