Labor is making sure every child has access to world-class early learning. 63 kinders across the state will share in $12.3 million to improve their centres.
Building Blocks Improvement grants help kinders upgrade, refurbish and renovate. This includes learning spaces, outdoor play areas and staff spaces and amenities.
Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos, announced today that Virginia Park Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten will receive almost $150,000 in funding to upgrade their outdoor play and learning space.
Labor has invested more than $44 million in 361 kinder upgrade projects across Victoria and more than 570,000 children have benefited from Free Kinder since 2023.
The Liberals cut $1 billion from education when they were last in office – they even cut free fruit Fridays. Now they have a $40 billion black hole in their Budget, and that just means more cuts that hurt kids.
